Question: Why in the world would a real estate team, a team named #1 in the Midwest for 2004, devote a page of their website to conservation?

Answer: The Brunfelts pride themselves in representing land owners in THEIR best interests, not the interests of others. Yes, it's true, not everyone who owns land wants to subdivide it to obtain maximum dollar! For some, the value of land is preserving the land itself - and we understand that, here's how:

  • When you grow up in the country or small town, there is an inherent sadness that comes along with growth. We're not here to say progress is bad, because we certainly profit it from it as does much of society, but there are costs.
  • The costs of real estate growth are often loss of large, open land parcels, loss of wild lake frontage, loss of mature trees, and increased roadways and other hard surfaces.
  • We applaud environmental planning within development so long as it is reasonable.
  • We especially applaud those who dedicate their land to conservation.
  • We are familiar with how to plan with the environment in mind and also with how to conserve land; if we don't have the answers - we know people who do, see some of our links below.
